South Simcoe Theatre unveils all-Canadian 2025-26 season lineup - Innisfil Today

2025 Annual General Meeting - How to Register
The South Simcoe Theatre's 2025 Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, October 25th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. This year’s meeting will again be a hybrid meeting - you can attend either in person or via Zoom. The meeting will include reports on the 2024-25 season, our financial status, a vote for new board members, and an opportunity to have questions answered.


PLAYWRIGHTS WANTED! Call for Submissions
Playwrights are invited to submit plays for consideration - sketches, monologues or full-length plays are accepted. Please submit the script in .PDF form. Preference will be given to playwrights from Simcoe County and Ontario. Submissions from outside of Canada cannot be accepted.


Musical Audition Workshop with Instructor Debbie Collins
This is intended to be an informative workshop environment, and perfectly polished pieces are not expected. We are all learning here, and I always walk away from these workshops learning more than the students! Participants are asked to prepare or begin working on two contrasting pieces. Auditioning for Plays Workshop with Instructor Candy Pryce
In this workshop, participants will explore auditioning for community theatre with the aim of de-mystifying the process so that they will have a more joyful and fulfilling experience when auditioning for a show. The workshop will include a short lecture (geared to the experience level of the participants) covering: audition formats (individual, pair, group, callbacks), monologue selection and preparation, coping with nervousness, director’s perspective, analysis of an auditio

Colours in the Storm is about the life - and mysterious death - of one of Canada’s best-loved painters, Tom Thomson, whose landscapes of Algonquin Park are among the most famous paintings ever done in Canada. A beautifully written work with memorable music, it is more a gallery of scenes and songs than a traditional musical.
