What can you expect in a Basics of Technique Level 3 Class?
This new 8-week course offers a challenge to acting students who have completed the first two
“Basics of Technique” workshops or acting students with some comparable experience in other
theatre acting classes. Each week participants will work systematically through Exercises laid out in Uta Hagen’s book “A Challenge for the Actor”. These exercises will encourage actors to work at a level beyond that of the first two workshops to develop clearly defined habits between classes (i.e. effective homework). In weeks 5 – 8 we’ll apply the exercises to short monologues or scenes.
