THE SECRET GARDEN
Book and Lyrics by MARSHA NORMAN
Music by LUCY SIMON
based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett
Director: Judi Erickson
Music Director: Ernesto De Luca
Producer: Mel Hinch
The enchanting classic children's story re-told in brilliant musical style. Orphaned in India, young Mary returns to England to live with her reclusive uncle and his disabled son. The children are beckoned by the estate's magic garden and spirits from Mary's past who dramatize the play’s themes of forgiveness and renewal. The South Simcoe Theatre is pleased to finally bring this to the stage after being cancelled in 2020.
Recommended for ages 10+.
THE SECRET GARDEN is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals. www.concordtheatricals.com
