The South Simcoe Theatre is pleased to announce their new radio partnership with season sponsor The New Classical FM 102.9. FM102.9 has a long and rich reputation as a promoter and supporter of the arts in southern and eastern Ontario. Starting its life more than 25 years ago as a classical music station in Cobourg, they expanded their signal in 2014 across the Georgian Triangle with Classical 102.9 FM. Now comprised of three stations (FM 102.9 in Collingwood, 96.3 in Toronto, and 103.1 in Cobourg), The New Classical FM is the region’s only commercial radio station playing all classical music, as well as broadcasting news, weather, traffic, Zoomer Reports, interviews, and live concerts.
James Hamelin, Media Advisor shares that ”… joining forces with The South Simcoe Theatre for their 2023-24 performance season is music to our ears. Together, we're set to create a rich blend of art and culture that promises to captivate, inspire, and resonate with our audience's love for classical music and the stage.”
To launch this partnership, SST will be showcased in their Spotlight on the Arts feature throughout the week of October 9th, and President Nancy Chapple Smokler will be interviewed later in October by announcer Daniel Vnukowski to discuss SST’s upcoming season.
The South Simcoe Theatre looks forward to promoting their 2023-24 season with The New Classical FM 102.9 and are grateful for their support.
